However, for those who enjoy sightseeing, the capital city Mahon is just a short bus journey away. Here you can wander round the many shops and boutiques, take in the wonderful architecture or simply stroll around the picturesque harbour before sitting down to a fabulous meal at one of the many portside restaurants. For the little ones there are hourly glass bottom boat trips around the harbour, a very interesting and informative way to learn about the islands history as well as a chance to spot some marine life!
